Happy Wednesday readers! It’s mid week and time for another edition of the Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop!
Our theme this month is spooky and spectacular! It’s all about Halloween! I love Halloween. It’s so fun to dress up and go to parties or hand out candy to the kids that come to our door. While living in Italy for four years, I missed being able to hand candy out so I was so excited when we moved back and I could do it again!
For my project this month, I wanted to focus on the Cat Punch that is in the annual catalog. Sometimes our Halloween items in the annual catalog get looked over once the holiday catalog debuts, so this is a perfect card to highlight this punch!
While this card doesn’t scream traditional Halloween with orange and black, the two new colors of Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green are combined with black are purrrfect together. I started with a Granny Apple Green card stock base and layered with Basic Black card stock. Next, I used my Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Write Marker and added some ink to my Silicone Mat. Using my Aqua Painter, I picked up the ink and colored on the Watercolor Paper.
Aren’t the splatters fun?! These are so easy to create with a Stampin’ Write Marker, no other tools needed! I used my Granny Apple Green marker to create that effect. Using the Stitched Shaped dies and Vellum, I cut out an oval and punch my cat out.
The Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set is a must in every crafters stash. The sentiments are wonderful for a variety of creations. I used the Classic Label punch to punch out my sentiment and the Gorgeous Grape 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon for a final touch.

These colors are lovely together and your watercolor technique is perfect!
Great card! The background makes the silhouette of the cat really stand out. Think I will try something like it. Thank you for inspiring me!
