Happy Thursday! Another week has quickly flown by and it’s time for another round of the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop!
This month is all about techniques. Learning a new technique is always fun and exciting and can really take your stamping and crafting to the next level. For my project this month, I wanted to highlight a very easy but very stunning technique that any stamper can do, no matter what level your skills are at!
There are a few different ways to complete this technique. The first one would be to ink up the Sponge Brayer and roll directly onto the embossing folder. The way I did my project is a little different. I started with Very Vanilla card stock and before embossing the paper, I took my Blueberry Bushel ink pad and rubbed it into the top of the Tin Tile Dynamic Textures Embossing Folder. This will transfer the ink onto the folder.
Next, gently place your vanilla card stock into the folder and run through your embossing folder. Be very careful as this can be a very messy project and you will want to make sure the ink isn’t on your fingers, or wash them off, before handling your project. After running it through the Big Shot normally like any other embossing folder, I gently pulled the embossed paper out and immediately took my folder to the sink and washed it off. Depending on how deep and dark the ink color is, a gentle hand soap might be needed to ensure all the ink is off. I air dried my folder standing up.
I used the new Galvanized Metallic Paper as my background for the embossed piece. This paper looks beautiful in the Tin Tile Embossing Folder as well but I wanted to show what it looks like without any embossing.
