Happy Saturday everyone! It’s going to be a great weekend here in Tucson as the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will be at our airshow at the Air Force base I work at. Looking forward to going but first it’s time for another Ink, Stamp, Share Blog Hop!
This month’s theme is all about masculine cards. Creating masculine cards can be difficult for some as a lot of our stamps show flowers and frilly things. For me, they can be difficult because my color pallet tends to gravitate for the bright and bold colors. My project this month focuses on the Geared Up Garage bundle from the Occasions catalog.
My project is a CASE of a design I saw on Pinterest from Mary Fish. I loved the overall layout of the card but I wanted to change some things up and make it my own. I started with the using Basic Black cardstock and layered with the 6″ x 6″ Classic Garage Designer Series Paper using Smoky Slate cardstock on top.
I stamped the car on Daffodil Delight cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and used the coordinating car die to cut it out. The Stitched Shape Framelits oval in the back is the perfect way to combine different shapes together. I used the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend and colored the Basic Rhinestones to make them a different color!
