Global Stamping Friends – A Color Challenge!

Happy Friday everyone!  It’s the first Friday of the month and time again for the next Global Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop! 

March is here and it’s time to mix things up with this month with a color challenge!  This month we were tasked to create projects using the color combination of Early Espresso, Lemon Lime Twist, and Island Indigo.  I love Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo but never have paired them with Early Espresso.  We could use Whisper White and Basic Black as core colors as well. 


For my project, I knew I wanted to use the Beautiful Day stamp set.  When this was first released, it wasn’t my favorite set but as more and more Demonstrators used it in their projects, I feel in love!  I stamped my image in Basic Black ink onto watercolor paper.  I colored in the butterfly using my Aqua Painter and the Lemon Lime Twist and Island Indigo inks.  

The patterned paper is from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper package and I used Whisper White craft ink to stamp my sentiment.  To add a little bling, I used the adhesive backed sequins from the Tutti Frutti line.  This would be a great project for a class as its simple and easy to assemble!
