Happy Friday everyone! It’s the first Friday of the month and time again for the next Global Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop! I’m excited this month as I’m currently enjoying my birthday trip to Disneyland, but of course made time to share a great project with you!
Love is in the air this month with Valentine’s Day projects! Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. I normally spend the day with my husband by either cooking a nice dinner at home or going out to eat and generally spending some great time with each other. Valentine’s Day this year will be a bit different as my husband is still deployed overseas for a few more months. I mailed him a care package full of goodies and a birthday present for him as his birthday is the day after Valentine’s Day. My special Valentine’s Day will come later this spring when he returns!
For this month’s project, I wanted to highlight the Heart Happiness stamp set and coordinating Lots to Love dies. These two items coordinate perfectly with the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. This card is a perfect showcase of layers, texture, and a simple design that can be used for multiple occasions. For the heart, I fussy cut the stamped Melon Mambo heart with my Paper Snips.
The colors in the Painted with Love paper include Calypso Coral which goes great with the Shimmery Ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration brochure! Beautiful card. I love the Painted with Love DSP. I am sure your husband will love receiving his care package. Please thank him for his service and also sending a big hug to you to help you through the remaining time until he returns home.
