Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop August 2019 – Fall!

Hello Thursday everyone! The weekend is almost here and it’s time for another month with the Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop group!

While the rest of the USA is starting to cool down with their temps, Tucson today is in an excessive heat warning (it’s supposed to be 108 outside today 😱) but Im looking forward to the day when it does!  Our theme this month is all about fall and showcasing that through our projects.

The 2019 Holiday Catalog is coming September 4th and as a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, we can preorder holiday items now!  I was so happy to be able to get my hands on the Hello Harvest bundle which has a beautiful stamp set and coordinating punch!

For my card, I started off with a Pretty Peacock cardstock base and layered using the new Come to Gather Designer Series Paper.  I am so in love with this paper!  I love the neutral look of the pumpkins with Pretty Peacock!  I used the Come to Gather Ribbon Combo Pack and a simple watercolor wash with the pumpkin using Watercolor Paper, my Aqua Painter, and Pretty Peacock Ink.
The card tin and 3″x3″ notecards are the perfect gift for giving!  I used the Copper Tea Tins wrapped in the same Designer Series Paper and coordinating decorations.  The cards were cut from Pretty Peacock cardstock and Crumb Cake cardstock.  I fussy cut out the leaves and sentiment on the tin was cut using the Story Label Punch that I punched once and then cut that piece down again with the punch!

  1. I'm with you on being ready for a little cooler weather, we are in the triple digits here in Texas, too. Love your projects and the soft watercolor wash is beautiful on the pumpkin. I always forget about those copper tins and I am loving this for a fun and functional gift. Thanks so much for the awesome inspiration!
