Global Stamping Friends - Drinks Galore!

Happy Friday!  The weekend is almost here and it's time for another round of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!
This month's theme is all about drinks.  With it being hot outside, the perfect thing to do is sit by the pool while sipping frozen drinks.  For my project, I wanted to use a stamp set that you wouldn't automatically think of a drink when you look at it.  I decided to use the Jar of Love and Lemon Zest sets.

This card screams summer with its brightness!  For my base I used Pineapple Punch cardstock and stamped the lemon using So Saffron.  I didn't want my background to be overwhelmingly bright so I choose a softer yellow.  I stamped the jar using Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and using the Light and Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin' Blends markers to color in the lemonade.

I decided to do something different for my sentiment label background.  I punched using the Pretty Label punch and trimmed off the bottom and the top of the punched out piece.  I made the straw using Call Me Clover Ink and finished the project off with the Whisper White Mesh Polka Dot Ribbon.

  1. I really like this set too. As I sit here drinking a bullfrog (Limeade Cocktail), I had to laugh at myself for not remembering it. Love your card.
