Happy Wednesday! We are halfway through the week and it’s time for another monthly hop of the Color Combo Blog Hop!
For our hop this month, we are highlighting two of my favorite colors, Blackberry Bliss and Merry Merlot. I love these two colors together as when combined, the Merry Merlot tends to show its more purple tones but alone it looks more red. I never would have paired Pool Party together with these two colors so it was nice to have a challenge to bring these three together. I wanted to showcase a stamp set from the Annual Catalog that might have gotten pushed aside in your craft space with the introduction of all the new products from this years catalog. The set is called Lift Me Up and its a favorite of mine.
I wanted to use some products that I hadn’t used in a while and this card was a great one to make. I started with a Blackberry Bliss base and a Pool Party mat. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I mixed some Dazzling Diamonds glitter into the Embossing Paste and used the stencil from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks to create the background.
Using my Stampin’ Sponge, I picked up Merry Merlot ink and sponged my Whisper White Polka Dot Mesh Ribbon to change the color of the ribbon to what I wanted. I stamped the balloons in each of the colors form the challenge and cut them out using the coordinating framelit dies from the Up & Away Thinlits set. A little Whisper White ink was used for the Sentiment and I added a Faceted Dot in Blackberry Bliss for my final bling. This card has lots of texture and while the colors aren’t ones I use together, I stuck to my design ascetic and this could be created in any three color combinations.

I love everything about this project! TFS
Yep, you called it! That stamp set has definitely been pushed aside in my craft room. I love what you did with it, and the texture with both the embossing paste, and that fluffy dotted ribbon, really set this card apart. Thanks for sharing 😀
Very elegant, how this card comes out! Lovely!
