Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop July 2019 – Ribbons & More!

Wednesday is here crafters, and it’s time for another month with the Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop group!

Our theme this month is all about ribbons and embellishments!  I love ribbon and using embellishments to accent my projects but for this hop, I wanted to make ribbon the focal point on my card!  I also knew I wanted to use the Hoot Hoot Hooray stamp set, which is perfect for beginner stampers!
Using ribbon as my background and in a diagonal pattern is just the look I was going for, but I used my Tombow glue down the middle of the ribbon to give the ribbon a grungy look too!

I started with a Terracotta Tile cardstock base and layered using Very Vanilla cardstock.  I cut out pieces of Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon in alternating colors and glued them down with Tombow Adhesive Glue.  When everything was glued down, I trimmed the edges to line up with the Very Vanilla cardstock base.

Don’t you just love that owl?!  I got this stamp set because he drew me right in and how easy he is to color with any medium.  Here I used the Light and Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends and cut it out with the Stitched Shaped Dies.

This stamp can only be found in our Experience Creativity brochure and you won’t find it in the annual catalog!  Check out the full brochure HERE!
