We Create Blog Hop 7 – Celebrations!

July 1st! Can you believe we are already halfway through 2018?!  Now that a new month is here, it’s time for another hope with the We Create Bloggers!

For our projects this month, we are focusing on celebrations.  One of my favorite new sets from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog is the set called Wonderful Moments.  It’s the perfect set for celebrations as it has stamps for weddings, birth of babies, and general birthdays.
This card is all about simplicity and softness.  I knew I wanted to highlight one of my new favorite color combinations of Gray Granite and Petal Pink.  I stamped the bride using StazOn ink as this will be the ink you will want to use for water coloring, and stamped on water color paper.  Since I don’t have all the new reinkers for all the new colors yet, I used the Petal Pink Stampin’ Write marker to color on a Stampin’ Block.  Using the Aqua Painter, I picked up the ink and softly colored her body for a nude tone.

For her dress, I used the Grapefruit Grove marker using the same technique and followed it up with Soft Suede for her hair and Daffodil Delight for the flowers.  I stamped on Whisper White cardstock the sentiment and used the Oval Layering Framelits to cut out the frame in Petal Pink.  One of my favorite new embellishments for softness is the Share What You Love Pearls and used it to add some layers.
