Happy June readers! While today is the first of the month, its also the beginning of the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog! On top of that, I am joining a new hop beginning this month, the We Create Blog Hop!
I’m so very excited to be apart of this new hop and for this month’s theme we are celebrating those extra special men in our lives by creating masculine cards! With Father’s Day in about two weeks here in the United States, this theme comes are a great time!
For my masculine card, I chose to use the new Lilypad Lake stamp set and coordinating framelits. This set is so versatile and and can be used for various types of occasions. I wanted to create a different type of masculine card by keeping true to my sense of bright and bold colors and the type of projects I like to create. I went with a congratulations card and a simple style of project that can be created by a Stamper of any skill level.
Simple, elegant, and perfect for any special man! I used the wave stamp inked in Pool Party and stamped four times starting at the bottom of my card. Next, I stamped the sailboats and sun using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and the Light Pool Party, Light Cherry Cobbler, Light Daffodil Delight, and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends markers to color in the boats and sun. A background on Whisper White card stock for the base and the mat make the card simple. You could even swap out the sentiment to make this a birthday card, sympathy, or another occasion.
