Happy Friday and Happy February! I can’t believe how fast the year is already going but I’m excited as it’s time for another round of the We Create Blog Hop!
Now that February is here, it’s all things Valentine’s Day in our stores. Our theme this month falls right in line with the love theme as we celebrating blushing colors this month.
For my project, I wanted to highlight one of the cutest stamp sets from the Occasions catalog, Hey Love. At first this set didn’t catch my eye but since I looked at it more and decided to buy it, it’s one of my new favorite sets!
That otter is so cute! I started off with a Powder Pink cardstock base and using the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheet from the Sale-A-Bration brochure, I embossed it with the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The foil paper is so beautiful, comes in a package with Grapefruit Grove foil paper, and can be earned for FREE with a $50 purchase!
Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, I stamped the otter onto Watercolor Paper and colored him in oh so lightly with Watercolor Pencils. Using the Aqua Painter, I lightly blended the colors together and once dried, layered with Wink of Stella for some shimmer.
I stamped my sentiment using Lovely Lipstick ink and used two Glitter Enamel Dots on either side. The Silver Metallic Thread peeking out is the prefect accent against the foil paper.

I was going to use these foil sheets too but I forgot. That ruffled look is too cool and really steps up this card.
