Happy Thursday Readers! I hope that everyone is enjoying their new year so far. Don’t break those New Year’s Resolutions yet! Even though it is 2014, its NEVER too soon to start thinking about those holiday cards for next year.
Each year we get to the holidays and never have enough time to do all those handmade cards we dream about doing each year. The time comes, we want to spend it with family and friends, and BAM its Christmas Eve and you haven’t even sent out your cards yet! Well the ‘Tis the Season Christmas Card Challenge is still in full swing! Here is our first challenge for the new year!
Now I know I was getting tired of using the same old reds and greens for making my Christmas cards this year. So while this is a sketch challenge, I thought I would go in a totally different direction for colors. Who says Christmas is all about greens and reds?!
I wanted to showcase some new items from the upcoming Occasions catalog as well but tie in the theme using the Joy stamp from the retired Welcome Christmas stamp set. I even made the rhinestones in the bigger circle shapes as well. The best part is I didn’t even feel I was making a Christmas card while doing this, because we all know I’m over Christmas!
