Happy Thursday readers! Its time for another challenge over at ‘Tis the Season Christmas Card Blog Challenge! This week we have a great color combo to get your holiday juices flowing!
Isn’t it great! It reminds me of old time Christmas, something you would see at an antique shop or a country Christmas theme! These non traditional colors are perfect since I tend to get stuck in the red, green, and white/vanilla colors for my Christmas cards.
I wanted to use the new Festive Flurry stamp set and coordinating framelits that I got. I love them even more now that I have the magnetic platform for my Big Shot to keep them in place and to make sure I have perfect cuts every time.
For my card, I used sliver glimmer paper that I sponged with Cherry Cobbler ink to give it some dimension. Now I could have used our red glimmer paper, but I wanted the silver to shine through. I stamped the two snowflakes with Versa Mark ink to give them a subtle look but also the tone on tone too. Using the same color ink on the same color cardstock can be too intense sometimes, Versa Mark makes it more soft. I used twine on the clear button to tie in our option embellishment this challenge and coordinates great with the old time feel.
I hope you are able to play along with us and make sure to visit our blog at Tis The Season Christmas Card Challenge!
Very pretty Anastasia! I just love the layered snowflakes and the techniques you used on all of them!
