Happy Saturday everyone! March is halfway over and it’s time for another month with the Stampers By the Dozen hop group!
Our theme this month is all about stepping up our projects! The great thing about Stampin’ Up and the products they offer is that they can be used in conjunction with each other and work perfectly. For my project this month, I wanted to use the Lasting Lily stamp set, which can be earned for free during Sale-A-Bration!
For my first project, I really liked the layout by Gloria Plunkett that I found but I wanted to change it to make it my own. I started with a Powder Pink cardstock base and layered with Whisper White that was embossed with the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
I stamped the lily using Highland Heather ink and the stem in Pear Pizzaz ink. The sentiment I stamped in Powder Pink ink and flagged the ends and finished with the Braided Linen Thread.
For my stepped up project, I wanted to keep the same simple design but add just a few small stepped up parts. I stamped the lily on a separate piece of cardstock and cut it out with my scissors. While there are coordinating framelets, I don’t have them and the lily is pretty easy to cut on its own. I added a Clear Faceted Gem and added Wink of Stella glitter brush to the lily!
