Happy Friday readers! The weekend is just about here and it’s time for the first Stamp N Hop blog hop of 2019!

With Sale-A-Bration in full swing, this month’s them is all about those free products you can earn just for shopping! For every $50 in items you purchase before shipping and tax, you can chose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure!
For my project this month, I wanted to focus on one of my favorite sets from the brochure. Home to Roost isn’t a set I normally would be drawn to with my style of bold and bright but the chicken caught my eye as being a set perfect to coordinate with the Stampin’ Blends.

I love this! This was the first time I inked up this set and the Blends definitely made him pop! I started with an Old Olive cardstock base and layered with Whisper White cut with the new Rectangle Stitched Shapes framelits. There are SO many dies in this set and they work great because the negative that they cut can be used on a project as well.
I stamped the grass in Garden Green and used the stamp off technique to give the faded look. I stamped the rooster and sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut him out. Using the Dark Crumb Cake, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Bermuda Bay, Light Pumpkin Pie, and Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends, he was very easy to make him pop with color!
