Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop – A Little Smile

Happy Tuesday readers!  The week is starting off wonderfully and it’s time for another month with the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop group!

June’s kit was all about sharing a little smile with someone.  These small note sized sharing cards are perfect for giving to someone to brighten their day with a handmade project.  I love sharing my projects I create with other both in person and online and sharing a handmade gift shows how much that person means to you.

I love the small size of the cards and the little box that came with the kit to hold completed cards.  These would be perfect to pass out to anyone you may meet during the day like the mailman, your server at a restaurant, or the local barista!  For my project this month, I wanted to use one of the vellum die cuts that came with the kit as a stencil for my background.

I started off with a Coastal Cabana cardstock base and layered with Old Olive.  These two colors coordinate with the kit this month.  I used a piece of Whisper White cardstock and the vellum piece as my stencil while sponging with Sahara Sand ink.  I used that same vellum piece as the background for my sentiment as the ink from the sponging changed the color of the piece.

I used one of the smaller cards and stamped my sentiment using Early Espresso ink and used the Story Label punch on it.  Some of the thread from the kit and the glitter paper sand piece finish off the card!
July’s kit looks to be even better when Paper Pumpkin and Stampin’ Up are teaming up three suites from the Annual Catalog to coordinate with this month’s upcoming kit!  Subscribe to the kit by July 10th by clicking HERE!

  1. I really, really like this! I love the background, and that you were able to use the "stencil" after you used it for a stencil. Stamping the senitment on a card front, and punching it out…brilliant!
