Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop October 2018 – Fall & Thanksgiving!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  The middle of the week is here, along with the middle of the month, and it’s time for another hop with the Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop group!

Our great theme this month is Fall and Thanksgiving.  I love Fall with the changing of the colors of the leaves and getting to drink all the hot beverages while wearing the big comfy sweaters.  While Tucson doesn’t really get great fall temperatures, the weather has cooled off some and it’s not a blazing hot 100 degrees plus outside.

For my project this month, I wanted to showcase a set I haven’t used in a while.  The Sheltering Tree stamp set is a great one for crafting projects that work for any season.  The tree stamp and the layering leaves can be used with a multitude of stamp colors!
This project screams fall!  The colors and design are perfect for any fall occasion.  I started with an Early Espresso card stock base and layered using the Buffalo Check stamp with Crushed Curry ink.  Using the Stamparatus tool is the perfect accessory to use when stamping with the Buffalo Check stamp as you can stamp in the same position over and over to get every single space filled in and perfect.

I stamped the tree with Early Espresso ink and layered the leaves using Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie inks.  I first stamped my sentiment on Crushed Curry ink and cut the sentiment out on a strip of paper.  Next I used the Everyday Label punch to punch out the smaller piece.  I love how that turned out and it look like a completely different shape than what the punch normally looks like.
