Welcome stampers to an extraordinary hop this month for the Global Stamping Friends group!
For our special hop this month, we are focusing on products from the newly released Holiday Catalog! This 55 page catalog is chocked FULL of beautiful products ranging from Halloween, Fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Now is the perfect time to start thinking of your holiday crafts. Who wants to be spending precious time during the holidays crafting when you could be finished early and spending time with family!
I wanted to highlight a set that instantly caught my eye when I opened the catalog. The Farmhouse Christmas isn’t my typical style for stamping and I don’t tend to go for ‘country’ style stamps but I fell in love with the truck and house stamps. I love how the house can be used for multiple occasions too but I solely wanted to focus on traditional Christmas colors with this card.
Traditional Christmas is exactly what this is! While I didn’t use the coordinating framelit dies, I highlighted the stamps in the set. I stamped the truck using Staz On Ink and colored in with watercolor pencils. I used my Blender Pen and blended the watercolors out to achieve the soft look.
Isn’t the checked background wonderful! I used the new Buffalo Check stamp to get this look with Cherry Cobbler ink and Very Vanilla card stock. This stamp is HUGE so I used my Stamparatus to line up the image so that I can reink and have it stamp in the same position.
For the layered background, I used the coordinating Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper with the green and white snowflakes. This traditional Christmas paper is so pretty and one side has larger background designs while the other side is a more muted look. I love the ship lap design and can’t wait to use that in a different project. My final touch was to add the Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible Ribbon!

Excellent coloring work. The buffalo Check looks really good against that star background too.
I love your colouring. The card is beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration and for being an enabler. I just added to my shopping list 🙂
Your card really showcases what Stampin' Up! does best – co-orindation. The Buffalo Check background really elevates the stamped images. I'm so in love with that ribbon too. Thanks for sharing x
Lovely card! I so need that buffalo check stamp!
Wonderful card design. I love this color combination and the buffalo check works great with this suite. 🙂
