Global Stamping Friends – Cards Sets!

Happy Friday readers!  It’s the first Friday of the month and time for another round of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!

With the holiday’s coming up, its the perfect time for our theme this month, Card Sets!  Giving sets of cards is the perfect choice when thinking about holiday gifts.  Since they are handmade, it’s a special gift not only for those who make it, but for those whom receive it as well.

For my sets this month, I didn’t want to make identical cards for the set.  Variety is the key to life and I wanted my set to be different for each recipient.  I wanted to showcase the Country Home stamp set this month too!
The set is such an easy to create gift set that is perfect for masculine and feminine receivers.  I like that the cards have different themes but their color schemes all work together.

The first card (one with polka dots), is made with Mint Macaron card stock as the base and layered using the Country Lane Designer Series Paper.  I used the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Mango Melody card stock.  I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the stamp in with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend.  Aren’t the cotton puffs cute!?  I used a Q-tip and pulled the cotton off and glued them to give it some texture.
My second card, I used Blackberry Bliss as my card base and layered using Mango Melody card stock.  Using the new Galvanized Metallic Paper, I used the Tin Tile Dynamic Impressions Textured Embossing Folder to give it the great textured look.  I again used the Country Lane Designer Series Paper as an accent and the Stitched Shapes to stamp on.
For my final project, I have showcased it on my blog before but I wanted to add these two previous cards to make one set together.  I started with Mango Melody card stock and the Country Lane paper with the cotton background.  I layered using the Blackberry Bliss card stock and used the Light Mint Macaron, Light Mango Melody, and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends markers to color in the flowers.  To finalize the project, I used the Braided Linen Trim.  This has to be my most favorite ribbon from the Holiday Catalog!
These cards are perfect for my monthly class too!  Class sign ups include the Country Home stamp set, four Stampin’ Blends markers and a Tuxedo Black Memento stamp pad!  Learn more about my class HERE!  I offer this class local here in Tucson and a To Go option for completing in the comfort of your own home!

  1. Beautiful cards and a great way to showcase the stamp set and embossing folders. So in love with the Tin Tile Dynamic TIEF. I have this set but confess to not having inked it up yet – you've inspired me to give it a go! Thanks for sharing x
