Global Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop – Favorite Bundle!

Happy Friday everyone!  I’m so excited for the weekend but first it’s time for another monthly hop with the Global Stampin’ Friends!

This month’s theme is something that I love, highlighting our favorite bundles!  For my project I chose the bundle that is pretty obvious from the design of my blog, Painted Poppies!

I started off my project using Whisper White card stock and layered with a piece of white card stock that I blended together with Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight inks.  I stamped the leaves using Versamark Ink and embossed them with white embossing powder to make them stand out against the blending.  For an added effect, I sprinkled some water onto the blended paper to make it fade it certain spots.

I finished my project off using the coordinating dies and used the beautiful Rainbow Glimmer paper for the center of the flower.  I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments set which is a great coordinating stamp set for this bundle!

  1. One of my favorites too! I had never seen a poppy in person, only on the Wizard of Oz! Then we moved into a house this spring with a big patch of them in the back yard and 2 other patches on the side of the house. Now I am completely in love with poppies! THis card is stunning and I am sure to CASE it! Thank you for the inspiration!
