Fall is here!

Sorry readers for being MIA the past week.  I know that I didn’t post my normal Confessions of a Traveling Stamper and Technique Tuesday posts.  On Saturday morning, my mom had to put down one of her dachshunds.  I have two male dachshunds and she had two females so naturally they were boyfriend and girlfriends.  Sadie was three and on Thursday she somehow severed her spinal cord and ruptured several discs in her back.  Unfortunately she wasn’t able to control her bladder and surgery was not an option.  We found out Thursday afternoon she would be put down Saturday so I wasn’t up to posting much this week.
BUT on to happier news! I have a job interview tomorrow so I decided to use the I Am stamp set to give my confidence level a boost! The base travel office is hiring someone and since my degree is in Travel and Tourism, I am a perfect match! Lets hope they agree!
I’m also going to combine this post with a small Technique Tuesday post as well.  I wanted to try using bleach on our Natural Designer Series paper since seeing it online and had to check it out.
First you start off with a coated paper plate (not the cheapo flimsy ones) and several folded paper towels.  Pour enough bleach on the towels to dampen (NOT soak!) the towels.  I used a paint brush and lightly tapped it over the towels to pick up the bleach and rubbed it over the paper.  Always make sure to cover your workspace, your clothing and use a well ventilated room when using bleach!
It will take a few minutes for the paper to dry but halfway through the process you will see the paper start to lighten.  In the upper corner here you can see where the paper is lighter than the rest of it (where it looks shiny):

Make sure your paper is completely dry, embellish and enjoy!

Wish me luck on my interview tomorrow! Fingers crossed!!
