The weekend is coming to a close and this weekend Europe did our annual ‘Fall Back’ with Daylight Savings Time ending (USA is next weekend). I loved having that ‘extra’ hour of sleep! I was able to complete just about all of my Sunday chores before noon and now I’m catching up on watching my shows!
Last night, my best friends husband had his birthday party. We had a great spread of food and fun celebrating with everyone. Of course, what is a birthday party without a card! I have a hard time creating ‘masculine’ cards since I really like to use bright colors in most of my cards. This time, I stuck with a three color scheme theme of Island Indigo, Crushed Curry, and Smokey Slate. I also used some of the items from the Try It Out kit with Stampin’ Ups monthly kit called My Paper Pumpkin.
The stripped flags, polka dot background, and green starburst are all from the kit. Simple, easy to use, and already has adhesive on the back so its just stick and go! I think the colors work well together.
