Wednesday is finally here and it’s time for another round of the Colour Combo Blog Hop!
This month is all about the red, pink and blackberry as we dive into more colors I wouldn’t have thought to work with together! I love this hop as it gets me to think outside of my normal realm of colors I tend to and a great way to showcase how our colors can coordinate so well with each other!
For my project this month, I wanted to showcase something out of the Annual Catalog but also the Holiday Catalog as well. Many times when a new seasonal catalog debuts, we tend to forget about our stamps in our stash from the Annual Catalog. This month, I chose to highlight Varied Vases bundle and the Buffalo Check stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.
I started my project off with a Blackberry Bliss card stock base. I stamped the Buffalo Check stamp onto the Petal Pink card stock with the Blackberry Bliss ink and using a ruler to get super straight lines, I used my Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends marker to get the plaid look.
The Stitched Shapes Framelits are perfect for layering onto this project using Real Red card stock and Whisper White card stock. Since my vase is layered, I stamped the stems first in the Blackberry Bliss ink and punched the vase out with the coordinating punch. The tulips are punched with the same and all popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals!
