Welcome to 2019 Stampin’ Blondie readers! After two months of traveling, I have finally returned and I’m ready to get back into the stampin’ world! For the first blog hop of the new year, it’s time for the Colour Combo Blog Hop!
This month’s colors aren’t something I normally would have added together but I was excited to stretch my imagination and put these colors to good use! As soon as I saw the Coastal Cabana and the Gorgeous Grape, I knew the perfect stamp set to use would be the Sweetest Thing stamp set.
For 2019, one of the goals I want to focus on is simple stamping. Highlighting easy projects for all levels of crafters and using simple supplies like ink, paper, and stamps, this project is perfect for all! While the Sweetest Thing stamp set comes in a bundle with coordinating framelits dies, I only highlighted the stamp set.
I started out with a Cajun Craze cardstock base and used the coordinating How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper for the patterned background. Using Cajun Craze ink, I stamped the candy jars onto Whisper White cardstock and used Gorgeous Grape ink for the treats inside.
On the jars, I used a Blender Pen to pick up the ink from the stamps to lightly color in the treats and tops of the jars. For a final touch of texture I used the Gorgeous Grape 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon from the Annual Catalog.
