Happy Sunday everyone! I hope your weekend has been wonderful and now it’s time for another month with the Kre8tors Blog Hop group!
This month’s theme is all about a Spring color challenge! Sometimes color challenges can be well…a challenge for me as it gets me to use colors I never would have thought to use. Luckily, this month’s color choices were bright and easy to pair together for me!
For my project I wanted to focus on four of the colors from the photo. I loved how the butterfly wings transition in colors so I choose those to focus on for the background. I started with a Gray Granite base and layered using Very Vanilla cardstock.
I stamped my sentiment from the Amazing Life stamp set and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Next, using reinkers and a small bit of glycerin mixed together and picked up with a sponge I blended together Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green. The glycerin makes the colors blend much smoother and gives the paper a silky smooth finish!
Using the Swirly Frames stamp set and Gray Granite ink I stamped the outline around my sentiment and I used the Polka Dot White Mesh Ribbon to finish the project off!
Make sure to continue on with our hop to see all the other great projects. Next up is Cheryl Hamilton! Her blog can be found HERE or by clicking the next button below!
