I wanted to take the time and do a post about the coolest person I know…me! Many of you may know me in person, but I do have some followers that may not know everything about who Stampin’ Blondie actually is.
That’s me! My actual name is Anastasia and I got the nickname Blondie from my dad. When I was younger my hair was bleach blonde and he nicknamed me blondie. As I grew older my hair got darker (booo!!) and I would joke and I was no longer a blondie but a brownie, and he would say I would always be his blonide. He passed away almost two years ago, but the name Blondie will remain forever. He was the first person to pay for one of my cards that I made (an anniversary card for my mom holla!) but I framed the dollar and display it proudly in my stamp room.
I met my husband while we were both freshman and attending Iowa State University. Go Cyclones! Come to find out we were from the same hometown but lived on opposite sides of town so we didn’t know each other. Funny thing is some people that my family is good friends with lived across the street from him! Crazy small world!
We started dating in 2003, I broke up with him for about 4 months, then we got back together on St. Patricks Day 2004. He was in Air Force ROTC and when he graduated on May 5, 2007 and got commissioned into the Air Force as an officer, he proposed to me the same day and we were married the next summer!
Aren’t we cute! |
His first station was Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. We lived there from 2007-2012. While we were there he was deployed to Guam for 4 months and Korea for a year. It was hard but I had a full time job that I LOVED, friends, and my successful stampin business.
Speaking of stampin…I love to craft! I have received numerous awards for my designs and I love showing people they can make projects like I can! I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator since November 2010 and have loved every minute of it!
I made that 🙂 |
We recently moved with our two miniature dachshunds to Aviano Air Base Italy in July. Harvey and Buddy are our two rescue doxies. We got them both from people who could have cared less about them and severly neglected and abused them. Luckily we show them our love and they have really come out of their shells and are my shadows. They literally follow me room to room.
Well thats a little bit about who is behind Stampin’ Blondie. Make sure to follow my blog by email so you know when there is a new post and stop by tomorrow for the weekly Confessions of a Traveling Stamper series about our adventures in Italy!
