This month we are celebrating those special guys in our lives with masculine cards with a twist, only in black and white! While I love creating with all the great colors that Stampin' Up! has to offer, creating a black and white card sometimes can really stretch my creativity! For my project this month, I wanted to use a bundle from the retiring list and one I'm going to miss so much, Sailing Home!

I started off with a Whisper White card stock base and layered using Basic Black card stock. I cut multiple anchors using the coordinating dies and layered them into a fun pattern for the background. I used the Stitched Shape Dies and Vellum paper to add a little frost to my project and stamped the boats using Tuxedo Black ink. A final touch of a Sail Away Trinket and it's the perfect masculine project!

Great masculine card design. Love the background.
ReplyDeleteI never really thought to use a die cut to layer on the background to make a different kind of DIY DSP. That's genius! Love this set and your card!
