Happy July everyone! The month’s are flying by and it’s time for another hop with the We Create Blog Hoppers!
Independence Day is this week in the USA and our theme for this month’s hop is red, white, and blue! For my project this month, I chose the Sailing Home stamp set which seems very Americana to me!
I started off with a Night of Navy cardstock base and layered using the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper on top. The Stitched Nested Label Dies are my favorite thing from the Annual Catalog and I used a larger size to cut out the patterned paper and a smaller size to cut out a piece of Watercolor Paper.
I stamped the sailboat using Night of Navy cardstock and used my Aqua Painter to blend the ink to make it look like water. Using the Light Real Red Stampin’ Blend marker, I colored in the sails and stamped my sentiment on Real Red cardstock. A little anchor from the Sail Away Trinkets adds the final touch!

This is such a classic looking card. Perfect colors for Nautical and nothing overdone.
