Global Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop – Stamper’s Choice!

Happy Friday afternoon!  February is now here and it’s time for another month with the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!

It’s all about the Stamper’s Choice theme for this month.  Having free range to create using whichever set we want is great sometimes as we can showcase sets that we like and get to see what other stampers choose as well!  For my project this month, I wanted to showcase a set I haven’t seen too many samples with yet, Perfectly Paired.

Normally baby themed stamp sets aren’t my style since my husband and I don’t plan to have any children, my sister is currently pregnant and I saw so many great things I could create with for her with this stamp set!

This project is great and can be used with a variety of coloring mediums but I chose to work with Stampin’ Blends.  I started with a Soft Suede cardstock base and layered using Poppy Parade cardstock.  I used my Stamparatus with this larger stamp to ensure maximum ink coverage, and inked with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I used a lot of Stampin’ Blends on this card as I wanted to get a full array of colors.  I used:
  • Light Poppy Parade
  • Dark Pool Party
  • Light Call Me Clover
  • Dark Call Me Clover
  • Light Flirty Flamingo
  • Dark Flirty Flamingo
  • Light Smoky Slate
  • Light Basic Black
  • Light Mango Melody
  • Dark Mango Melody
  • Light Daffodil Delight
  • Light Crumb Cake
  • Dark Crumb Cake
I stamped my sentiment on Pool Party cardstock and used a Glitter Enamel Dot for some texture.  My cloud was colored in with Light Pool Party and once dried, I layered with Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
