October 2018 Kre8tors Hop: Autumn Color Challenge!

Sunday is here and the weekend is starting to wind down but it’s time for another round of the Kre8tors Monthly Blog Hop!

This month we are trying something new with a color and photo inspiration challenge.  This is such a beautiful photo and it’s a great photo for pulling inspiration and creativity from!

For my project this month, I found so many things to pull from the inspiration photo from!  I chose to use the Colorful Seasons stamp set and coordinating Seasonal Layers dies.  This set is great for all those year long season projects.  I started with the Gold Foil-Edged Card which comes with a coordinating envelope with gold edging as well.  Pulling the wood look from the photo, I used the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper to get the grain look.
The one thing that really stuck out to me in the photo was the rock wall and the color and texture to it.  To mimic that look, I used the Embossing Paste and mixed Soft Suede and Granite Gray reinker ink together and used the Pattern Party Decorative Mask to get that textured look on the wood grain paper.  I used the Braided Linen thread, easily my favorite from the Holiday catalog, to give this fall look the perfect accent.

Make sure to continue on with our hop to see all the other great projects.  Next up is Jan Musselman showcasing her fall project.  Her blog can be found HERE or by clicking the next button below!
