Happy Friday the 13th everyone! Today is a great day for my husband and I as we sign the closing documents on our first house we are buying! While that is super exciting, today I am joining another new monthly blog hop, the Stamp N Hop monthly hop!
This month’s theme is all about Designer Series Paper which is perfectly timed as our big promotion this month is Buy 3 Get 1 Free on Designer Series Papers! I love this time of year. It’s a perfect time to stock up on all your favorites and with Christmas right around the corner, the holiday themed paper is perfect for your free choice!
For my project this month, I wanted to focus on my favorite Designer Series Paper from the new annual catalog. The Garden Impressions paper is perfect for all the bright and cheery cards you want to make. The colors are bold and I love to use it in my projects.
This card is right up my alley with its bright and bold colors. I recently purchased the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set and I knew I had to use it in this card. First I used Grapefruit Grove card stock as my base and paired it with Melon Mambo.
I stamped the flamingo first in Petal Pink using my Stamparatus using the full shadow stamp and lined up the outline stamp with the legs attached perfectly and stamped in Melon Mambo ink. For the water, I stamped in Tranquil Tide and while I stamped in the same color for the bushes, I stamped off once on scrap paper and then onto my project to get the lighter color.
I used the new Detailed Trio punch to round the edges of two corners. This punch is great as you get three different punch details on one punch!
