Global Stamping Friends – That Little Bit Extra!

Happy Friday everyone!  I’m writing to you today from fabulous LAS VEGAS!  I am here for Stampin’ Up On Stage and I’m so very excited as tomorrow I will be able to see the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog and all its new goodies!  But before then, it‘s the first Friday of the month and time again for the next Global Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop!

This month our theme is showcasing those little bit of extras that make our projects so amazing.  Everything from ribbon, pearls, rhinestones, and more are what we are highlighting.  For my project this month, I wanted to showcase the Silver Metallic Ribbon and Clear Faceted Gems paired together with the Stampin’ Blends and the Magical Day stamp and die bundle.
I LOVE how this turned out!  I used the Layering Circle framelits to create the scalloped circle and used my Stampin’ Blends to color directly onto the Silver Edged Metallic Ribbon.  Next, I stamped and cut the dragon out and colored him in with the blends markers as well.  At the bottom, I used the Clear Faceted Gems that, you guessed it, I colored with the blends as well.  The gems are very easy to color to make them any color you want!

  2. Amazing card. I love the way you colored the ribbon and used it for the background. Thanks for sharing this wonderful idea. 🙂
