Global Stamping Friends – Extraordinary Bloghop

Friday is finally here and it’s time for an extra special extraordinary Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop!

For this special edition of our hop, we are bringing you a sneak peek of NEW stamps, dies, and embellishments from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog!

Today I am highlighting the new stamp set called Animal Outing which I received at Stampin’ Up On Stage event in Las Vegas.  I had a such a great time there seeing old friends, learning new techniques, and getting a whole bag of new products!
For my project, I knew I wanted to highlight the kangaroo and koala together!  They are perfect together and the images in this stamp set work great with the Stampin’ Blends markers, which I used in my card.  I used the Dark Crumb Cake marker for the kangaroo body and the Ivory marker for his belly.  The koala is colored in the Light Smoky Slate marker and I used the Dark Smoky Slate marker to color in his nose.

I wanted to highlight some of the retiring items as well since you can purchase these items right now and when the new annual catalog premiers, you can purchase the Animal Outing set and create this card!  I used Old Olive cardstock as my base with Dapper Denim cardstock (retiring) as a mat.
The Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper (retiring) is a perfect match to bring in the wildlife aspect and the Basic Washi Pack 3 (retiring) makes a great divider between the Whisper White cardstock and the patterned paper.  I stamped the leaves in Old Olive ink and the Night of Navy corduroy ribbon ties everything together!
