Global Stamping Friends – Color Challenge Time!

It’s the first Friday of the month and time for our next Global Stamping Friends Hop!

This month’s theme is a color challenge! I LOVE color challenges as they give me an opportunity to use colors I may not always use, and pair them with others that I may not always pair them with.  This month’s colors were Whisper White, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, and Night of Navy.

These colors are perfect for each other!  It was easier for me to pair Night of Navy and Smoky Slate but throwing in the Pool Party, which is a color I rarely use, was a little difficult for me.  In the end I came up with a project I love!

I love the simplicity of the card while being dramatic with the circles.  I used Whisper White craft ink on to stamp on my card.  Craft ink is great for embossing, which I did not do here, and takes a little longer to dry than our regular inks.  I used the Eastern Beauty stamp set to make the geometric background.  Peeking out behind the Stitched Shape circle, is a piece of the new Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper as well as a Night of Navy piece of washi tape.

  1. This is so inspiring, Anastasia! I love the white stamped images on the Smoky Slate background and you could use this technique for a whole variety of occasions. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I love how the way the Whisper White Craft ink pops against the Smoky Slate cardstock. Eastern Beauty stamp set is wonderful for creating geometric patterns. You have inspired me to try this combination.
