A unique twist!

Ever since I got a preview of the Holiday Stampin' Up! catalog a few months ago, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and coordinating framelits.  I wanted to create a get well soon card!  The mason jar is a perfect backdrop for this 'Caught a Bug?' card!  I entered this card into the Hand Stamp Sentiments blog challenge this week.  We were asked to use the following colors:

Now shades of orange and blue remind me of the Florida Gators and while I am a Florida State fan (of course after my number 1 team and alma mater Iowa State Cyclones!), so this challenge was a little hard for me to stomach using these two colors together.  But I sucked it up for the greater good and created this lovely piece:

I wanted to use some letter stamps that I haven't used in a while and they are actually letter stamps from a Disney Princess letter set I have.  I colored the bakers twine using a Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write marker and the two bugs and staying are stamped in Early Espresso (although hard to tell from the picture).  I love the way it turned out and a great card for anyone feeling under the weather!

Supplies used (all supplies from Stampin' Up minus letter stamps):

Cardstock: Whisper White, Island Indigo
Ink: Basic Black, Island Indigo, Early Espresso
Specialty Paper: Designer Series Brights Stack
Accessories: Lacy Brocade Textured Embossing Folder, Cannery Framelits, Whisper White Bakers Twine, Eyelet Border Punch
Stamps: Perfectly Preserved, Disney Princess Letter Stamps
