ICS Blog Hop – Punch Me Out!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  August is here and it’s time for another month with the Inspire, Create, and Share Blog Hop on a new day of the week!

This month’s theme is one I always look forward to!  Creating fun projects using our punches is a great way to stretch our imaginations using tools that are perfect for anyone from a beginner crafter to advanced.  For my project this month, I wanted to showcase the Tailored Tag punch and use it in a unique way!
TAILORED TAG PUNCH

I started my project with a Basic Black card stock base and layered with a piece of Vellum card stock and a piece of the Magenta Madness 6″x 6″ In Color Designer Series Paper.  I love the way these punched shapes turned out!  To make them, I took a piece of 1.5″ wide card stock and slide it into the punch.  Since the paper isn’t wide enough to punch the entire shape out, it creates this fun hexagon shape!

The Zany Zebras stamp set is the perfect addition to this card!  I colored their manes using the Magenta Madness Stampin’ Blend marker and added Wink of Stella to make them shine.  A final touch of the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots and a party hat stamped in Bermuda Bay made my sentiment stand out against the rest of the card.
