June 2020 Kre8tors Hop: Masculine

Happy Sunday everyone!  While the weekend may be almost over, first it’s time for another month with the Kre8tors Blog Hop group!

This month’s theme is all about celebrating those great guys that we have in our lives!  Creating masculine cards is something that is always challenging for me.  Not because I create with lots of flowers in my every day crafting, but because I tend to create with brighter and bolder colors.  This month I wanted to highlight one of my favorite new sets from the Annual Catalog, Whiskey Business!
I started my project off with the perfect whiskey color and one of our new In Colors, Cinnamon Cider!  This color isn’t my favorite of the new In Colors but it’s perfect for using this as a whiskey color.  I layered using Very Vanilla cardstock that I embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder and a piece of World of Good Designer Series Paper.  I love the brass foiling in this paper and it’s perfect to pair with this project!

Don’t the new Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends look great for coloring in the whiskey?  I fussy cut the images and for the sentiment, I cut it out using the new Tasteful Labels dies.  The gem is from my new favorite embellishment package, Elegant Faceted Gems!  I used the Stampin’ Blend marker to color in the clear gem and I love how I turned this feminine embellishment into a whole new look with just some additional color.

Make sure to continue on with our hop to see all the other great projects.  Next up is my good friend Jo Blackman!  Her blog can be found HERE or by clicking the next button below!

  1. Love it! I looked at this set about a dozen times and didn’t order it. Definitely need to rethink that decision! Thanks for sharing.
