Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop – Hugs from Shelli

Happy Tuesday readers!  Tuesday is here and it’s time for another month with the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop group!

This month’s Paper Pumpkin is a very special kit as it was designed by Shelli Gardner, founder of Stampin’ Up!  Shelli’s style is very vintage, floral themed, and I love the bird nest that is imprinted on one of the predesigned cards.

My style of crafting tends to be very different than that of this month’s kit but one piece stood out to me the most and caught my eye, the Blushing Bride and Old Olive floral card base piece.  For my project this month, I knew I wanted to use this piece as one of my focal points and use a majority of the supplies that the kit came with.

I started off with an Old Olive cardstock base and layered using Very Vanilla and Blushing Bride cardstock.  I used the floral card base and cut it into four pieces and layered it onto the Blushing Bride.  The foiled sentiment piece is from the kit and I stamped the Hugs sentiment in Blushing Bride ink.

The stamped the rest of the sentiment in Old Olive ink and used the Classic Label punch.  To fill in the flowers, I used the Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend marker (since there isn’t a Blushing Bride Stampin’ Blend) and Light Old Olive Blend.
June’s kit looks to be even better when Paper Pumpkin and Stampin’ Up are all about sharing kindness through creativity!  Check out this sneak peek video below and subscribe to the kit by June 10th by clicking HERE!

  1. I love that technique of cutting the paper and spacing it! Did one with last month's kit! Lovely card!
