Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop October 2018 – Halloween/Fall!

Happy Thursday everyone!  The week is quickly on it’s way to ending and it’s time for another monthly Stampin’ Dreams Hop!

We are celebrating the spooktacular and fall temperatures this month with out theme.  For my project this month, I went the Halloween route and wanted to showcase the Labels to Love stamp set, which can be overlooked in the Annual Catalog with all the great Halloween sets from the Holiday Catalog.

The technique on this card is such a simple but has a huge impact on changing how the card looks!  To get the embossed background, I used the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The technique is done by inking up the top part of the embossing folder by rubbing the ink pad all over the folder.  Place your piece of cardstock, in this project I used Whisper White, into the folder being careful not to move the paper around, and run it through your Big Shot.  That’s it! The paper gets embossed and the ink transfers at the same time. So simple and it looks great in all our colors!

I stamped my image on Pumpkin Pie cardstock and used the coordinating Everyday Label punch to punch out the sentiment.  I used a piece of Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon and a piece of Whisper White Polka Dot Mesh Ribbon together and tied them in a knot at the same time.  I snipped at angles and secured it with a glue dot.

  1. You are right – we have so many great stamps so this really can be overlooked. I really like your card. TFS
