It’s all ghosts and ghouls here on the Stampin’ Friends hop this month as we showcase our Halloween projects!  In my post yesterday, I wrote how I love Halloween and how excited I was being able to celebrate it after living in Italy for four years.  There aren’t a lot of kids in my neighborhood and I don’t have kids myself, but I love to dress up my dogs!  Having two dachshunds, it’s only fitting one of them is a hot dog!

For my project this month, I wanted to showcase one of our stamps in a unique way.  The Farmhouse Christmas stamp set is all about Christmas of course but when I first saw the house stamp, I instantly knew I would turn it into a haunted house…and that is exactly what I did!
This card turned out exactly how I had it in my mind when I was creating it!  I stared with a Basic Black cardstock base and layered with Whisper White cardstock.  The Grapefruit Grove polka dot Designer Series Paper is from the 2018-2020 In Color paper pack that comes in a 6 x 6 inch package of paper.  I used the Stitched Shapes largest circle die with Grapefruit Grove cardstock to cut my circle.

The haunted house is stamped using Memento ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I used both the light and dark Smoky Slate and Basic Black Stampin’ Blends to color in the house.  I cut the tree out of Basic Black using the coordinating Farmhouse Framelits dies.
Did you know you could dye our new Frost White Shimmer Paint?!  I mixed a little bit of the paint with Basic Gray reinker on my Silicone Mat and used my Aqua Painter to pick up the paint and add some shimmer to the roof and the tree to make the paint color darker.  I used my Stampin’ Blends to color the Clear Epoxy Droplet and my Stampin’ Write Markers to color in the sentiment from the Labels to Love stamp set to just highlight the sentiment and not the entire stamp.

  1. I love everything about this card. Starting with the tree die that is now screaming my name. 🙂 The shimmer on the roof is perfect and your sponging around the round layer is just the right touch.
