Happy Thursday! The week is almost over and it’s time for another round of the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop!
This month we are bringing you an exciting hop theme by debuting projects from the new Holiday Catalog! The holidays are such a special time of year and I love crafting both fall and Christmas cards. On Monday I finally received my Holiday Catalog preorder and I was so excited to create my first card with my new supplies using the Country Home stamp set.
Now normally anything country is NOT my style but the old milk can and pitcher in this set jumped out at me. I love how the flowers on top are a separate stamp set and using the Stamparatus tool is perfect for lining this up. I stamped first in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and using the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, I colored the jug in. For the flowers, I colored them in with the Mint Macaron, Blackberry Bliss, and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends. The Mango Melody and Blackberry Bliss are new colors of blends in this catalog.
I do have a hard time using loud Designer Series Paper patterns. I usually keep to the simple geometric shapes or simple one color pattern paper. I stepped outside my comfort zone and used this pretty cotton patterned paper for my background from the coordinating Country Lane Designer Series Paper. I used the new 3/16″ Braided Linen. This super soft ribbon can be pulled apart for a frayed look as well but I decided to keep the ribbon together.
