Inspire, Create & Share Blog Hop – A Bold Color Challenge!

Happy Wednesday!  The first of the month is here and it’s time for another hop from the Inspire, Create & Share Group!

This month is a great theme as its a color challenge chosen by yours truly!  I love color challenges.  They allow us to choose a layout design we like but bring us together with using all the same colors.  For the challenge, I picked three returning colors to the Annual Catalog: Blackberry Bliss, Coastal Cabana, and Flirty Flamingo.
No automatic alt text available.
I used a lot of new products on this card and I am so happy with the way it turned out.  For the background, I used the NEW Watercolor pencils (that are available starting TODAY!) in Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana.  I colored onto Watercolor paper and using my Aqua Painter, I blended the two colors together to give them a softer look.
Using our three theme colors, I stamped the scalloped border using the Varied Vases stamp set and stamped the vase and punched out with the coordinating punch.  These items can be purchased in a bundle for 10% off!  I used the Layering Circles Framelits to cut out the scalloped circle and the Stitched Shapes Framelits to get the layer.  Using the Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends, I lightly colored in the flowers in the vase as well as the Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon to give it the flamingo color.
Aren’t those letters amazing?!  This bundle is so versatile and I like how simple the letters are on projects but pack that punch to get the point across.  The best way to get this bundle is to host your own workshop and get them as your half off item!

  1. Love the background that I assume was done with the aqua painters and the watercolor pencils.
