Happy Sunday readers! Today is my relaxation and chore day but it’s also a time for another round of the Kre8tors Blog Hop!
For our theme this month, it’s all about water! One of the biggest things I miss since moving to Arizona is water. When we lived in Italy, we bought a kayak and would take it out to the lakes of the Alps and kayak our day away. Since moving from Italy to Arizona, the kayak has stayed in the garage since we arrived. The biggest lake I have seen since moving here is the lake that forms in my backyard when a monsoon rolls through!
When brainstorming water, I wanted to focus on a set that is different. I decided to go with the Fabulous Flamingo set which fits the theme perfectly!
This card is bold and bright and exactly what my cards are! This set is a perfect one to use with the Stamparatus positioning tool. I was able to stamp the flamingo body in Petal Pink and layered a second stamp of Blushing Bride. With the Stamparatus’s four stamping plates, it was easy to add the Tuxedo Black top layer to the flamingo without having to worry about things not lining up!
I used Coastal Cabana as my card base and Lemon Lime Twist as my matte which was embossed with the Ruffled Dynamic Textures Embossing Folder. I stamped the water with Coastal Cabana and the grass with Lemon Lime Twist ink. A little pink pearl from the Share What You Artisan Pearls added that soft final touch.
