Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop July 2018 – Kit Creations!

Thursday is here and we are one step closer to Friday but first it’s time for another round of the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop!

For this month, we are focusing on kit creations!  Kits are perfect for some many different people as they contain everything in one box.  Kits have always been a favorite of my crafters who don’t want to buy a lot of supplies, may not have the physical space in their house to store a lot of supplies, or are new to the stampin’ world and want to try out something new.  Either preference you have, kits are great as there is minimum design that needs to be done as each one comes with photo instructions and step by step guidelines.
My project this month focuses on the Lot of Happy All Inclusive kit.  Create all-occasion cards, then add your own color using the included Watercolor Pencils.  This kit comes with SO MANY items:

* Makes 20 cards, 4 each of 5 designs, using the included Lots of Happy Stamp Set
* Includes set of 7 photopolymer stamps
* clear stamp block
* 20 printed card bases and coordinating envelopes
* giftable kraft box
* printed, gold foil, white, and vellum die-cut accents
* white/gold foil labels
* Basic Black Archival Stampin’ Spot
* full-size Watercolor Pencils in Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry
* Lemon Lime Twist 1/4″ (6.4 mm) Ombre Ribbon
* Stampin’ Dimensionals

Wow!  I love this kit and I love to take it with me to the monthly scrapbook crop I attend as I don’t need to bring any other items with me.

**SNEAK PEEK ALERT!**  Coming soon, Stampin’ Up will be releasing NEW colors of Watercolor pencils and I knew the new Gorgeous Grape pencil would be perfect for using in this set!
Because the items in the kit are so easy to work with, I only made two small and minor adjustments to my project.  I embossed the card base using the Tufted Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder (my new favorite one in the catalog)!  Next I used the Gorgeous Grape and Shaded Spruce pencils to fill in the lavender flowers and using my Blender Pen, blended the colors together.  That’s it! Everything else is from the kit!  So simple and an easy project for multiple occasions!
