Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop – Masculine Madness!

We are halfway through the week and it’s time for another monthly edition of the Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop!

With Father’s Day just around the corner, this month we are focusing our theme on Masculine cards.  Masculine cards seem to always be the toughest cards for me to make, not because I normally make cards with oodles of flowers and subtle colors, but because my cards tend to be more on the bright and bold side.  I knew right away I wanted to highlight and focus in on the retiring stamp set.  Unfortunately, the coordinating Designer Series Paper has already sold out but the stamp set and coordinating punch (available for 10% off in a bundle until May 31st) are still available to purchase.
I love the simplicity of this project and how it still can have some bold colors to it even though its a masculine card.  I saw this design online (using different patterned paper) and knew I wanted to recreate it with the bow tie and the dot paper.  The blue corduroy ribbon is the perfect divider and Stampin’ Dimensional foam pop ups create layers and depth to the card.
I wanted to use one of the sayings from the stamp set that can be used for multiple occasions, from birthdays to anniversary to a congratulations card.  This set is so versatile and a perfect addition to anyone’s crafting stash.
