The first Wednesday of the month is here and it’s time for another Inspire, Create & Share blog hop!
Last month we celebrated cards that are all about girls and this month its all about the special guys in our life! This hop is perfectly themed as right now its all about that special guy in my life as he returned home from his deployment this past Saturday! It was a long six just about seven months and I’m so happy to have him home!
For my project this month, I wanted to highlight the Truly Tailored stamp set. The stamp set is retiring at the end of this month, which I am very sad about because this is a perfect set for masculine cards! While the set is retiring, the coordinating punch is not, but I decided to opt out of using the punch for my project.
This card is a perfect choice for any occasion from birthday, anniversary, to any type of celebration. While I didn’t use the coordinating True Gentleman Designer Series paper, the colors I used on my card (Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, and Tranquil Tide) all go with the colors in the Designer Series paper and could be added to enhance this project if desired.
The Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon gives the card some texture and a manly feel as well even though there is a bow on the card and I embossed the background using the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder for some extra texture on the background.
This card would be perfect for Father’s Day which is coming up next month here in the USA. I will be adding this to my stash and sending it out to the perfect gentleman when the time comes!
