The retirement list is a great way to stock up on your favorite items. Stamps, paper, embellishments, and Big Shot items are all listed and only available while supplies last!
For my project, I knew I wanted to highlight one of my favorite stamp sets (and one I’m so very sad to see leave), Bird Banter. This set is perfect for all occasions with its various sentiment statements, and has it’s own little sense of humor to it with it’s puns.
The majority of the items on my card are retiring, minus the Stampin’ Blends markers I used to color in the bird (the full set of Stampin’ Blends markers IS on the retirement list only because there is a color that is retiring in the group). My card based is using the Tempting Turquoise card stock. I was very sad when Stampin’ Up announced this was a retiring color as I LOVE the brights family collection and how well this color pairs with others.
I used the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series paper in the silver tone for the striped background and the Stitched Shaped Framelits (not on the retirement list) to highlight the parrot. For the sentiment, I used Daffodil Delight cardstock (again not on retirement list) and the Tutti-Fruitti Washi Tape in the Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist colors to frame the sentiment. I love the simplicity of this card. I felt like it might have needed something else, but after trying to add a few different options, I felt like this card was perfect the way it was.
