Good evening readers! Its been a week since Andy left for his deployment and things have slowed down a lot around here. Labor day weekend, I had a 4 day weekend with Friday being a down day for the base. I was able to enjoy lunch and shopping with a friend, a movie night at her house, and sleeping in!
Saturday was market day for the biggest city in our area. Italians love their dogs almost more than they love their children so naturally, I wanted to take Buddy to the market. Harvey, our other dachshund, isn’t really a crowd type of dog (he’s WAY too hyper) but Buddy is calm and likes other dogs.
Buddy loved the market! We were able to buy some fresh fruit, I enjoyed a latte macchiato and chocolate croissant, and he enjoyed some cool water at the outdoor café. I didn’t really buy much other than some strawberries but I enjoyed the company of my puppy dog and sunshine!
This week brings Girl Scout board planning meetings, a 3 day work week, and enjoying another weekend at home with the pups.
it's nice to be able to sleep in for a change.
